PAYE - Due Diligence

What is PAYE?

Pay As you Earn (PAYE) is a form of paying personal income tax on monthly intervals to SARS through your employer (deemed employer). Determining whether PAYE should be withheld (or not) varies depending on the nature of the transaction/ benefit and whether it is subjected to a different set of tax rules (7th Schedule ITA). For example, the introduction of the Employment Tax Incentive (ETI), participating in cross-border transactions, or the provision of fringe benefits would require a deeper analysis both in terms of compliance and structuring aspects.

Creative CFO can analyze your PAYE history with SARS and advise on PAYE compliance and/or optimisation. We will also be able to highlight potential areas of improvement and whether you would qualify for other PAYE-related benefits (ETI, EduTax Booster, etc).

  • Analyse the transaction history of your latest, or chosen, tax submission
  • Provide you with a report of the optimisation areas, what you must and must not withhold
